Kokako Infographic

L.I:To create an infographic using google draw that tells your audience facts about the kokako bird.

This week, everyone in LS2 has been given a set of different challenges based on our camp. For this activity we used our smart searching skills to find information about the North Island Kokako bird. I found this activity enjoyabel and stunning because it was my first time learning about the Kokako Bird. Some of the information about the Kokako Bird were interesting to read and learn about aswell.

5 Minutes of Camp

 LI: To recount a 5 minute snapshot of one experience you had at camp.

My Amazing Risk It’s time! Time for me to finally take the risk of my life. Lining up with my group as we walked down a little, muddy, slippery row of stairs to get to our destination. Sitting down listening to the important rules that came out of the instructors mouth, making me feel sick and afraid. How can I be feeling like this and I haven't even taken a risk yet? It was my turn to finally face the scary vertical wooden pole called the ‘High Beam’. I thought I had all the confidence I needed until I realised that I was standing in front of the ladder getting ready to take my first step. Taua was holding the ladder, I looked at him hoping that he was holding the ladder still. I took a deep breath before I took my left foot and started climbing the ladder rung by rung. Everything's shaking and in my head I’m telling myself I can’t do it but I had to take the risk. Making my way up the ladder as I got to the last step of the ladder I took a deep breath and thought I can do this! Taking my first step as I go higher onto the first staple that is attached to that huge vertical pole. Going higher and higher I reached to the top and I bravley balanced on my two legs with only three people holding me by a rope. I took my first step along the beam and started walking thinking that I was gonna fall. My legs started to shake but I had to carry on, finally making it to the end of the beam hugging the pole and not letting go. Almost done, almost done I kept telling myself as I was trying to finish completing the high beam. Letting go of the pole as I start walking to the middle of the beam. I thought to myself, ‘Phew’ I completed the high beam but then I realised I was still not finished, I had to get down to the ground. I looked down, which made it worse, trying my best not to cry as I leaned back getting ready to come back down onto the ground. To me this was scarier than climbing the pole. Taking me three to five tries to lean back so that the instructor could lead me down, I kept thinking I was going to fall. Leaning back and taking that one big risk, I did it! I took the risk and finally accomplished my goal. I am proud of myself for being a risk taker. Heavenly. U

Last week we went to camp at Kokako Lodge. My 5 minute snapshot shows my personal voice and I have tried hard to paint a picture with my words to describe what I was doing and how I felt. I found this activity fun and interesting because I got to write about the scariest activity to me and I got to express my feelings about how I felt Before and After I took my risk and completed the activity.

Camp Collage

 L.I: To create collage of your camp highlights.

This week LS2 have been celebrating our camp. I created this collage to show my time at camp and the activities I enjoyed. To make my collage effective I thought about the size of the images, the angle of the images and I tried hard not to leave any gaps between the photos. I found this activity interesting because I got to look at all the photos and some of them were funny to look at. It was a great way of showing everyone about what I did at camp with everyone else.

Confidence CARE Award | Activity 1

As apart of completing this task I have ran a class fitness game.

Two weeks ago I ran a fitness game with my class room LS2. Me and my class mate Afa played Corner Ball with our class. Corner Ball is a game where there are two taggers with a ball and the rest have to restrain from getting hit by the ball. 

The twist to this game is the taggers can not run with the ball but they can only pass it to tag the opponent. This activity was very fun to teach and for everyone to enjoy. My favourite part about this game was being one of the people to dodge the opponent because I was very skilled at it.

My Tidy Google Drive (Cybersmart)

 L.I: How to keep my Google Drive tidy.

For this cybersmart task, we created a slide helping John clean his google drive. First we placed John’s different DLO’s into the right folder then we cleaned our own google drive. Next we had to put a red circle over the DLO that is not titled or if it has nothing in it. After that we took a photo of our clean machine google drive to show others what their google drive should look like and how it should be. The purpose of this task is to show everyone where and why to put their DLO’s in different folders so that it's easy to find.

Celebrating The Summer Learning Journey

 L.I: To celebrate our PBS Summer Learning Journey Participants.

The 2020  to 2021 SLJ Competition was a huge part of Panmure Bridge School to keep our learning going over the summer holidays. All of the SLJ activities were really fun to do like the challenges that were set from Nano girl. Today PBS got to celebrate the people who participated in the SLJ activities. Lots of students from PBS participated in the SLJ challenge, most of the student got an award and some of them got really cool prizes from Mrs Grant and Miss Paleti. We were very lucky to get Mrs Grant and Miss Paleti to hand out the prizes and awards. Congratulations to Sakshi for Top Blogger, Top Comnenter and The Top Blogger for Manaiakalani. I was one of the students who participated in the SLJ and Thanks to Miss Paleti for luckily picking out my name to win a speaker. Congratulations to all the students who Participated in the SLJ challenge.

Tech Reflection

L.I: To create a plan for my wood work.

Today we did tech we were building our creations I was building a race car. We also learnt about measurements. Mr Grundy showed us how to do measurements he also showed us how to build cars and other stuff. Mr Grundy was really funny he told us what to do and how to do it. We all enjoyed it so much Mr Grundy made it really fun I cant wait to finish our creations.
