Ancestor Poem

LI: To write a poem to describe your ancestor using the literary devices of alliteration, onomatopoeia, metaphor, simile, hyperbole and rhyme.

Throughout this week LS2 has been working on an ancestor poem. My poem is about my ancestors and my family history. In this poem I have talked about how I am proud to be who I am, uniting my two cultures. We had used literary and figurative language to create our master peace. I really enjoyed this because it was to talk about what my family does.

Ta' ovala Maths Question

L.I to find the most efficient strategy to solve a problem.

As presented in this DLO, Sulia and I have worked collaboratively to create this DLO. In this DLO, we are solving a maths problem; about the Ta'ovala.  In this DLO we had to find out how many pieces of Material that they needed to make 26 Ta'ovala's. Here is our strategy.

What is a Ta'ovala? A Ta'ovala is a Tongan Traditional clothing/mat, that is worn for special occasions(Funerals, Church or Ceremony's etc.). It is worn around you waist, and is tied with a piece of rope made out of coconut skin.

FIsh Maths Challenge

L.I To find the most efficient strategy to solve a problem.

In this DLO that you can see above, Juel an I have worked collaborativly to solve a maths problem. In this maths problem we had to find out how much fish Hemi caught in groups of hours. The strategy that we had used and learnt was the rule.

The Rule means a set of instructions, that is provided to solve each question.
For Example (x 3 - 1).
